Research Fellowship in the Built Environment

A single Fellowship is awarded every other year for two years' research in a specified study area.

Introduced in 1995, awards have been made for research into ‘Landscape and Modernity’, Urban Issues, Human Habitation’, ‘Transport and the Built Environment’, ‘Housing for the 21st Century’, and ‘Climate Change – The Future for Building Design.’ The most recent award, in 2009, was for research into Urban Design: Ideas for part of the Commission’s Estate. The Commission will be awarding its next Fellowship in the Built Environment in late 2011. Applications will be invited in July 2011 and full details will be posted on this website.
